Swim Skills For Adults
Refine strokes for efficiency & endurance!
Swimming is a cardio work out and great alternative to weight bearing exercise! Swim Skills for Adults will focus on proper technique that will improve speed, reduce fatigue and prevent injury. This class can also help for those training for Triathlons!

AARP Defensive Driving Class
Two day class to improve your driving skills. The next class will be held on TBS

Lifeguard Certification (Age 15+)
  • Lifeguard Certification (Age 15+)

    Minimum age: 15 years old

    Swim 300 yards continuously

    Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs

    Complete the following timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:

    -Starting in the water, swim 20 yards

    -Surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object

    -Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point

    -Exit the water without using a ladder or steps

CPR/AED First Aid Certification

    Participant will be certified as a professional rescuer in CPR/AED and First Aid.  
Lifeguard Certification (Ages 15+)

    The pre-test is mandatory. To find out what the pre-test consists of, please contact the Aquatic department.

    Students MUST attend all classes.

    Proof of Age is required. We are NOT permitted to waive the minimum age of 15 for any reason.

    Although our goal as instructors is to help students successfully complete their certification goals, students are sometimes not able to adequately complete the stated requirements for the course. Payment of the course fee and participation in class does not guarantee certification; students must successfully complete all course objectives in order to be certified.

Self Defense
  • Self Defense

    Learn proper self defense techniques that can be applied to real life situations.  The techniques will be easy to learn and easy to use, making them suitable for members of all ages and abilities.  The class will also educate members on how to identify potentially threatening situations and how to avoid them.
