Staying healthy involves more than working out.  Our programs and services focus on a well-rounded approach to serve a person's unique needs.  At the Y we provide fitness and educational programs to promote healthier decisions so you can know the best ways to stay fit.

Yoga (Ages 3-15)
Kavita Suratkal, a certified children's yoga instructor, will lead youth in activities which will help them in their daily life. Activity examples include Brain Gym, eye exercises, breathing exercises, meditation, creative thinking, sun salutation, and of course YOGA poses. Your child will enjoy the benefits of yoga...improved concentration, attention and focus for both academics and sports. Sessions always end with a fun game!

Personal Training

Youth and Teen Fitness
Get ready to break a sweat, work out to your favorite music, and HAVE FUN while exercising! It is never too early to develop healthy exercise habits! Our new youth fitness program is designed to inspire an early love for sports and fitness that will serve as a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Led by trained Youth Exercise Specialist and Personal Trainer, Ara McKay, children and teens will learn... Safe stretching techniques, how to structure a workout, and strength training routines that will increase endurance and muscle mass for any sport or overall fitness. The class will wrap up with a fitness orientation, introducing participants on how to use cardiovascular and strength machines safely!
 
  • YFit Kids

    Mondays-5:00pm-6:00pm  for Grades- 6th-8th

    Strong Girls (ages 13-17 years)
    A safe place for young girls to come together with their pals, make new friends, and talk with role models and each other about whatever's on their mind -- all while staying ACTIVE and EXERCISING with a personal trainer! Teen girls will learn about various fitness equipment including weights and TRX! This NEW program is great for girls to make friends and socialize, while learning to always be mindful of their health and wellness.
    Saturdays -9:00am-9:45am 
Small Group Training
Want to learn how to box while getting an unbeatable cardio, strength, and core workout?
With this 7-week program, you'll be taught the basic mechanics of the "sweet science" by former Penn State boxer, Hannah Thomas, while pushing yourself physically and mentally.
This is non-contact class that utilize punching mitts and heavy bags.

    High school swimmers ages 14-18 can add Monday from 6:30-7:45. Weight resistance out of the water (dry-land) Focus will be on developing muscles used for swimming.

Kids Triathlon (Ages 9-16)
  • Kids Triathlon

    The Kids Triathlon class is a great way to promote a lifelong passion for physical activity. With three fun sports- swimming, biking and running triathlons offer kids the chance to learn a variety of exercise skills while having fun! We look to enhance fitness skills with the larger goal of developing self-esteem, teamwork, goal setting, and self-discipline.  This Youth Program will be both an introduction to sport for beginners and a challenge for the serious competitor. The Kids Triathlon class will strive to create a healthy and safe environment for kids to learn, laugh, and grow
