Youth - Sports

Encourage your child to be active and enroll them in the many sports activities we offer.  Nurturing your child to be active early in life will establish life-long healthy habits.  Participants will develop physical and mental skills, improve self-confidence, appreciate diversity, and build self-esteem and discipline. Check out our sports offerings below.  We believe sports and fun go hand in hand!

Pee Wee Sports (Ages 4-6 years)
  • Pee Wee Sports Of All Sorts (Ages 4-6 years)

    Each week children will explore the basic skills of a different sport, including soccer, basketball, t-ball, floor hockey and gym games for ages 4-6.
  • Pee Wee Sports Soccer (Ages 4-6 years)

    Each class will incorporate instruction and fundamental skill development with emphasis on structured skills, fun lead up games and sportsmanship. Age 4-6

Spring Track and Field Ages 5-14
Join us for most popular spring program! Youth and Teens will meet weekly at Metuchen High School  to learn the basic fundamentals of various Track & Field events. Participants will learn proper and safe techniques from experienced coaches, in a fun and safe environment. Register today for our 8-week program and get your little one moving!

Floorball (Ages 6-12 years)
Floorball is one of the most popular sports for physical recreation in northern Europe and southeast Asia. The International Floorball Federation has more than 60 member countries and the sport will most likely become an Olympic game in 2020.

Floorball is a friendly game with few injuries and ideal for physical education classes, after school programs, or just for fun and recreation with friends and colleagues. The rules are simple, the game is adaptable and can easily be modified to fit the size and skill level of a given group. Floorball is great for exercise and helps build teamwork.

This is a fast and exciting game that promotes end-to-end plays with quick transitions and fluid game play.  The rules stress the importance of safety and sportsmanship and are designed to limit the chance of injury without decreasing the speed or skill of the game.

Snag Golf (Ages 5+)
A fun and easy way for children of all ages to learn golf. This curriculum builds the fundamentals of putting, chipping, pitching and full swing to develop playing ability quickly and effectively.

Young athletes are welcome to come and learn about a multitude of track and field events.  Participants (depending on age) will learn short distance sprints, middle distance, hurdles, cross country, relays, and more.

Gymnastics Tumbling & Cheer (Ages 5 & Up)
From somersaults to handstands, cartwheels, back-springs and across the balance beam, children will learn the basics of gymnastics.

Children will learn self-discipline, fundamentals, and basic form at a level that is appropriate.
