Indoor Fitness by Appointment
Welcoming you back, slowly and safely!

Individuals or families can work out inside our fitness center by appointment. Our fitness center is divided into rooms that you or your family can book. The following equipment is available in each room:

Cardio Room:
Full suite of cardio equipment, pin-selectorized strength machines, 6-station cable crossover, and - NEW to the cardio room: squat rack

Weight Room:
Dumbbells ranging from 5 to 100 pounds, barbells and plates, half racks, benches, and - NEW to the weight room: treadmill and spin bike

Studio 1 Cardio and Stretch Center (former Cycling Room):
Upright bike, recumbent bike, elliptical, Nu-Step, resistance bands, stretch bands, physioballs, and body bars

Guidelines:
Appointments begin at the top of the hour from 7am-12pm and 4-7pm weekly, Monday through Friday.
Appointments are 45 minutes each, enabling staff to have 15 minutes to sanitize and reset each room.
No mats will be provided for floorwork. Please provide your own if you plan on using one.
Members will not have access to bathrooms, locker rooms, or drinking fountains, but bottle fill stations are available.
Appointments are limited to three per week.
Members aged 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult. Members 15 and over may utilize indoor fitness options.
Membership must be active in order to use facility offerings
Outdoor Group Exercise
Let's get fit together, but from a safe distance! Outdoor classes are FREE to our active members and $15 a class for non-members. Classes are weather permitting and will take place in our parking lot. Bring your own water and mat (if required). Other recommended items are sunscreen, sunglasses, hat/visor and a towel. Space is limited, so online pre-registration is required. Participants are required to check in and complete a health screening prior to class and should arrive up to 15 minutes early to do so. 6 feet of social distancing is required at all times. Participants will not have any access to the building, so please plan ahead considering this.

    Looking for a new challenge, need some additional motivation, or just don’t know what you should do to reach your goals? Personal Training is a one-on one service designed specifically to help you meet your needs and help you to achieve your goal

We're officially open to our members at a limited capacity! You can reserve your appointment 12 hours or more ahead of time in our Cardio Room or Strength Room. Walk-ins for our indoor spaces are subject to availability, but are welcome at our Open Air Fitness Area during the hours listed.

Open Air Cardio & Strength Center
Need a lift? We're bringing the weight outside!
Members have access to various cardio & strength and conditioning equipment at our Open Air Workout Area (to the right of our building) Monday-Friday from 7:00am-12:00pm and 4:00pm-7:00pm. 

Please Keep in Mind:

-Equipment and space will be first come, first served.
-Participants are required to use a face covering upon arrival for check-in and can remove it afterwards.
-There will be a temperature check and health screening required prior to participation.
-Social distancing will be enforced and advanced cleaning and sanitation will take place by both members and staff.
-Members will not have access to the building for any reason, so please plan ahead.

    This class features an energetic fusion of Latin and Bollywood rhythms utilizing basic but powerful moves.

Lap Swim & Family Swim

Lap Swim and Family Swim now available to members at Edison Community Campus!

Lap swimming and family swimming is now available at the Edison Community Campus!  To schedule an appointment, please call 732-494-3232 or e-mail Laurie Post.

Available time slots for lap swim will be Mon-Fri 7am-5pm, Sat 1pm-5pm, Sun 11am-3pm.  Available time slots for family swim will be Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 1pm-5pm and Sun 11am-3pm.  Please register by noon the day before your requested appointment.

Enhance Fitness

Enhance Fitness is an evidence-based group exercise program for older adults that uses simple, easy-to-learn movements that motivate individuals (particularly those with arthritis) to stay active throughout their life. Each class session includes cardiovascular, strength training, balance, and flexibility exercises and the fostering of strong social relationships between participants. Low-intensity physical activity has been proven to reduce pain, help with weight control, improve functioning and elevate mood. Class meets virtually using ZOOM on Mondays from 11am-12pm. In each class, a trained YMCA Enhance Fitness Instructor will provide exercises to improve cardiovascular health, strength and flexibility.

FREE-WEIGHT CENTER

The Free-Weight Center includes a treadmill, cardio row, turfed functional zone, kettlebells, dumbbells up to 100 lbs, squat rack, various benches, bars, weight plates and an all NEW PWR Play multi-station cable and strength setup.

The Cardio Center includes a full suite of cardio equipment as well as pin-selectorized strength machines that are open on an alternating schedule.

STUDIO CENTER 

The Studio Center is a private space that's great for active older adults and those with health concerns. Only one person or family living in the same household per 45 minute appointment. This space includes a treadmill, elliptical, group cycling bike, cardio row, recumbent bike, Nu-Step, weights up to 20 lbs, kettlebells up to 20 lbs, plyo box, Bosu and plenty of open space.

  • Group Cycling - Mondays 9:00-10:00am

    Come ready to sweat! We'll motivate and guide you on a high energy open-air ride! You can work at your own individualized level by adjusting the tension on the bike. Limited to 10 participants per class. 

  • Zumba - Tues/Thurs 5:30-6:30pm, Wednesdays 9:00-10:00am

    Come join our party! Perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. This class mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party to Latin and International beats.

  • Yoga - Thursdays 8:00-9:00am

    Build a strong body, mind, & spirit. This class incorporates poses and breathing exercises to improve posture, flexibility, balance, and energy levels.

    **You must bring your own yoga mat and yoga blocks (if you require them). Class takes place in our parking lot so it is recommended that you also bring a large towel to lay under your mat.

Personal Training
