Our virtual programs have been developed with our community's ever-changing needs in mind. We strive to provide programs that will benefit your child socially, emotionally, and intellectually, from the comfort of your own home.

All of the classes listed below have In Person and Virtual options available - YOU decide!


Arts and Crafts (Ages 5-12 years)
Explore your creativity and create some art! This enrichment will allow students to try different mediums in art, such as painting, drawing, and other forms of expression! Students can pick up materials prior to class at the Edison YMCA.

Youth Book Club (Grades 1-5)
Geared for our elementary level students, dive into reading with our book club! A designated book will be chosen for students to read together and discuss with each other. It is a way for children to enjoy reading and socialize with their peers. Books can either be purchased on your own or through the Edison YMCA.

Master Moves to Checkmate Chess (Ages 6-12 years)
This is a beginner chess class. All students will be able to practice and learn strategies. 
  • Chess (Ages 6-12 years)

Private Guitar (Ages 7-14)
Participants will learn the basics of how to play the guitar.  The different parts of the guitar, how to hold, strum, and form notes.  Focus is on rhythm, chord progression, and performance.  These topics are taught at a pace that works best for your child.
Participants will need to supply their own guitars. Please come with proper instruments, no plastic guitars or toys. Please contact for a list of appropriate guitar brands.

Scratch Video Game Coding (Ages 5-16)
Children will learn mathematical and computational ideas that are built into the Scratch experience. As students create programs in Scratch, they learn core computational concepts such as iteration and conditionals. They also gain an understanding of important mathematical concepts such as coordinates, variables, and random numbers. This project-design process combines many of the 21st century learning skills that will be critical to success in the future: thinking creatively, communicating clearly, analyzing systematically, collaborating effectively, designing interactively, learning continuously.

This class provides one-on-one help for students struggling in certain aspects of their learning. A designated counselor will work with the student to help them reach their academic goals.

Youth Zumba (Ages 3-13)
Classes are designed to combine movement, music, community and a healthy lifestyle for children.  Providing kid-friendly choreographed routines to keep your child engaged and interested in different styles of music.
