  • Assistant Swim Teach Coach

    Join a dynamic, enthusiastic team of Swim Team Coaches.  If you are an experienced and knowledgeable swim coach with some previous swim instruction experience, a positive and encouraging personality, and a strong ability to work with a variety of swim levels you'll find this to be the perfect career choice for you!   There are opportunities to work with both an age group and senior groups, based on your prior experience. As a member of our coaching staff you will be expected to attend all practice assigned as well as meets that often take place on weekends.

    Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age, current Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/ AED. We will provide Coach’s Safety Training and YMCA Competitive Swim Training, both required for this position.

    Compensation will be based on experience level.

    Looking for an instructor to lead a small group training class incorporating Barre fitness with other modes of exercise including Pilates, yoga and strength training.

  • Lifeguard

    Qualifications:

    • Must have current Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Certification
    • Prior lifeguard experience
    • Willing to be outdoors for prolonged periods
    • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age

    Responsibilities include:

    • Arrive at designated time and dressed in appropriate aquatic attire
    • Perform safety checks of equipment, including first aid kits, phones, rescue tubes, pool equipment. 
    • Enforce all pool rules in a firm, but tactful manner
    • Work as part of the aquatic guarding team in an effective and efficient fashion to ensure the overall safety of the pool and pool area
    • Scan according to proper procedures and guard from designated areas and guard chairs
    • Interact with pool members and guests in a member friendly manner

  • Lifeguard Daytime

    Under the supervision of the Aquatic Director/Assistant Aquatic Director, the lifeguards will be responsible for the safety of all members during the hours of pool operation by being on deck, walking around the pool area, consistently remaining alert and scanning, enforcing all pool rules and other duties as assigned.

  • Kindergarten Teacher

    Ensuring a brighter future for our youth is a primary focus at the YMCA. The Kindergarten Teacher must have an outgoing, caring personality and the ability to nurture and mentor young students as well as develop a relationship with their families.   • Director Financial Development

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Financial  Development Director provides leadership in financial development to advance the YMCAs mission through annual giving, government and foundation grants, endowment bequests and gifts and capital campaigns.  The Director of Financial Development works closely with the CEO in developing an actively engaged fundraising volunteer board of directors and positions the Y as a community convener and collaborator to address critical social issues.

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent;  Master's degree or CFRE preferred.
    • YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.
    • Five or more years of professional experience with a background in fundraising  in the YMCA or another non-profit  preferred.
    • Ability to relate to top community leaders and diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
    • Working knowledge of giving and charitable vehicles.
    • Ability to create interpretive materials to enable potential donors to understand  the YMCA and how they contribute to the achievement of its  mission.
    • Knowledge of the media and its use in gaining exposure for YMCA events and programs.
    • Foundation and government grant writing experience.
    • CFRE or equivalent preferred

     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Develops organizational goals and strategic plans for fundraising, balancing long-term direction and short-term requirements in conjunction with the CEO.
    • Develops systems and manages resources, including the financial development budget, needed to carry out the fundraising plans
    • Ensures the established fundraising policies and procedures for the association are being met.
    • Develops processes and is actively involved in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects. 
    • Maintains database resource file on top community leaders and utilizes them  to build relationships with community leaders.
    • Directs and coordinates association annual campaign, endowment programs and capital campaigns that may be identified by the Board.     
    • Works in conjunction with Executive Assistant to lend support preparing and coordinating proposals for grants from government sources and private foundations.
    • Support the CEO in engaging the board in conversations and decision making to advance the Y's impact the communities we serve.                           
    • Develops strategies to increase volunteer involvement at all levels of financial development.
    • Tracks all gifts and pledges by source and purpose and provides reports as needed.
    • Provides training in fundraising. Educates, motivates and provides feedback to individuals related to best practices in the fundraising process.             
    • Creates and implements effective communication strategies with compelling messages that inspire others to accomplish the mission and cause with maximum impact.  Develops communication plans to ensure members, participants, and the community understand the case for support.

    • SALARY: $80,000.00 - $83,000.00

  • IT Assistant

    Under the supervision of the IT Director, the IT Assistant will be responsible for Association support and maintenance of all computers including laptops, servers and mobile devices. Assistant will also manage the phone system, handle IT systems and the network. Candidate will lend support and help develop YMCA IT educational programs i.e. SCRATCH.  This is an excellent part-time opportunity to join a leading non-profit organization with room for personal growth.

    Requirements:

    • Associate Information System Degree or two years equivalent IT experience
    • Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite and additional software such as Adobe, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
    • Excellent written and communication skills
    • Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English
    • Valid drivers license with excellent driving record
    • Personal vehicle for travel, moving equipment and service calls
    • Professional appearance

    Status and Hours:

    • Part-time non-exempt
    • Flexible hours up to 30. May be adjusted to meet needs of the IT Department.
    • Nights and weekends may be required
