The YMCA of MEWSA Celebrates Healthy Kids Day®
The YMCA of MEWSA is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on April 26! The free, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage a safe, healthy and fun summer season.
Held at the Metuchen Branch YMCA, 65 High St., Metuchen, NJ, Edison Community Campus, 1775 Oak Tree Rd., Edison, NJ, South Amboy Branch YMCA, 200 John T. O’Leary Blvd., South Amboy, NJ and the YMCA at the Piscataway Community Center, 520 Hoes Ln., Piscataway, NJ, Healthy Kids Day has something for every family!
Sponsored nationally Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to prepare local families for a great summer! Some featured activities include summer camp information, water safety programs, open swim time, STEM activities, face painting, bounce houses, local vendors and so much more.
“It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said President and CEO Rose Cushing. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer activities the Y has to offer.”
Additionally, the YMCA will also be hosting a summer hiring fair at its Edison and South Amboy locations from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.
